Our achievements

5th place at the World Championship in the USA

Our national team achieved a fantastic 5th place in the finals at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships 2026 in Orlando, Florida. We have thus become the first Slovak national team in history to compete at the World Championships in the USA. The competition was incredible, but we stood there, fought, and showed that Slovakia belongs on the cheerleading map.

Slovakia's national squad, SLOVAK CHEER TEAM, brings home the gold from the 2024 ICU European Cheerleading Championships.

The 2024 ICU European Cheerleading Championships, held from June 28–30 at the Oslofjord Convention Centre in Norway, saw a total of 195 teams from 28 European countries compete. A total of 3,361 athletes participated in the event.

Slovak Cheer Team triumphed over seven other routines in its category, with our athletes rightfully claiming the top spot on the podium. Dominating the field with a nearly 10-point lead over second place, the Slovak national team secured the gold in the YOUTH COED MEDIAN category.

Founder of the National Team

The founder of the SLOVAK CHEER TEAM is the Slovak Cheerleading Union.

Since September 2023, SCU has been a recognized national sports federation for sport cheerleading.

We bring together all cheerleading teams across Slovakia and are part of the Ministry of Education's MODULY project, whose goal is to improve physical and sports education classes.

At the same time, we are a member of the international cheerleading unions European Cheer Union and International Cheer Union.
